«Zenobia» cold snap to continue on Monday, especially in the east and south

Snow may fall at altitudes of 200-400m in Thessaly, eastern Central Greece, Evia and at higher altitudes elsewhere. The phenomena will start to subside on Monday night but continue until Tuesday in more southern areas. Moderate to gale-force northeastery winds, reach up to 9-10 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Cloudy weather with thunderstorms and squalls of rain, sleet and snow are forecast in all eastern parts of the country on Monday, where the Zenobia weather system is expected to hold strong throughout the day.

Snow may fall at altitudes of 200-400m in Thessaly, eastern Central Greece, Evia and at higher altitudes elsewhere. The phenomena will start to subside on Monday night but continue until Tuesday in more southern areas. Moderate to gale-force northeastery winds, reach up to 9-10 Beaufort in the Aegean.

Temperatures will remain low, ranging from -2C to 9C in northern Greece, between 2C and 13C in western Greece, from 2C to 10C on the eastern mainland and between 8C and 14C for the islands of the Aegean. Rain and sleet in Attica, with snow at 400-600m, and temperatures between 4C and 9C. Partly cloudy with light snow in Thessaloniki, temperatures from 1C to 7C.
